With bedding in each of the five rooms, groups of friends or running crews who prefer a room of their own will be most comfortable at five or six guests. Families sharing rooms can stay with up to eight guests.

Kaga Local Life

From Kaga-Onsen station the Hokuriku Shinkansen reaches Kanazawa in about 20 minutes and Fukui in about 25. Stay in the countryside and keep the city within reach.

The UTMB Kaga course (KAGA SPA TRAIL ENDURANCE 100 by UTMB) and the Kaga Coast Seaside Trail are close by — train from this house, and race from it too.

The Daishoji River carved this gorge, and a path threads beside it through four different seasons. An easy cool-down to walk after a long run.

Along Yunonaka street sit the Soyu public bath, free foot baths and small long-running shops. Walk slowly and the town's time slows with you.

Kutaniyaki pottery has been made here for more than 300 years, and a nearby experience hall lets you try the region's traditional craft yourself.

Yamanaka Onsen's waters have healed travellers since the 8th century. After a long trail day, they are the finest muscle-melting ritual there is.
